To read the Newsletter subscribe to nbannounce

We have been crossposting the weekly Newsletter to all of the major
top-level aliases over the last few weeks.

The problem is, then, that conversations get started on different lists
about the same subject and one list doesn't know that the other list is
discussing it.  To minimize this problem, we want everyone who is
subscribed to these lists to also subscribe to [email protected]
to receive the newsletter.  This list is very low traffic and the
newsletter (since its regular) makes up about 70-80% of the total volume
of the mailing list as it is.

To subscribe:  send an empty message (empty subject and empty body) from
the address you want subscribed to [email protected].

If you want to discuss a particular news item in detail you should
direct your discussion towards the most appropriate forum.

For instance, if you are discussing an item relating to the release
schedule for 3.2, you should direct your discussion towards
[email protected].  If the item you want to discuss have to do with a
ui concern, direct the discussion to [email protected].  If its about
the Netbeans.org website infrastructure or web pages, direct your
discussion towards [email protected].

General guidelines for which list is appropriate are available on
http://www.netbeans.org/mail-top.html.

We will give you time to subscribe, so we will still crosspost for the
next newsletter which comes out Monday, April 2nd.  But the one after
that, on April 9th will only be posted to nbannounce.
