Some people suggest various changes to the Q-build process to be able to produce Q-builds. The main goal of Q-builds i.e. providing usable builds for developers to work in them and report bugs valid and important. <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=143253&listName=nbdev> There is a nice example of using NetBeans as a platform for other application than IDEs and development tools. This particular one is about mining. And I don't mean data mining. <http://openide.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=141044&listName=dev> It seems that more and more people are using the OpenAPIs a base for their applications. What consequences could it have for the OpenIDE?: <http://openide.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=142829&listName=dev> Development: ----------- Jesse suggests getting rid of the first start of the IDE in the build process. Agree with him that the first start is: "kind of annoying". <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=143305&listName=nbdev> Petr Kuzel checked in first version of declarative MIME Type resolver. <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=142475&listName=nbdev> If you are interested in how the XML version of the editor options will look like then look at: <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=142299&listName=nbdev> The performance effort continues. Are you interested what is faster 1.3.1 or 1.4. Look at results of the competition: <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=143187&listName=nbdev> The discussion about better organization of options is still alive and vital <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=142464&listName=nbui> Contributions and Ideas: ----------------------- Interesting new modules were contributed by Sun, XEmacs/Vim/Other Editor Integration and Basic C/C++/Fortran Development Support <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=143110&listName=nbdev> <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=143117&listName=nbdev> Maybe we will have new module for PL/SQL debugging and execution: <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=141235&listName=nbdev> Would you like easier access to information about various modules on the NetBeans web page? Look at the draft of module catalogue and send your ideas. <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=141419&listName=nbdiscuss> ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This issue of NetBeans Weekly News was brought to you by Petr Hrebejk.
