Contributions:

- Vincent Brabant has started a module which will help with the translation of
NetBeans. He is working on the French translation and Vlad Koval is
interested in doing a Russian translation. Read about it and the discussion of
how the files should be organized to facilitate the translation effort in this
thread:

Under development:

- Release candidate 2 for 3.2.1 is available:
 <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=139798&listName=nbdev>

- Development builds are now being archived:
 <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=139753&listName=nbdev>

- The performance effort is going strong! Here are just a few of the threads:
	- Xerces - is it too slow? Should we replace it for certain tasks?
	 <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=136084&listName=nbdev>
	 <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=141060&listName=nbdev>

	- Progress is being made on eagerly initialized components. We'd like
to do
	even more. This ultimately led to a discussion on what should be done
with
	the Object Browser:
	 <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=139802&listName=nbdev>

	- A nice summary of startup performance was posted by Ales Novak:
	 <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=139720&listName=nbdev>

- Design of projects is still storming, or, as Yarda called it, a "storm of
brains" =). Read the updated design, some responses, and a very nice summary
posted by Pavel:

- Drag and Drop is available in the Explorer, but it's not for those faint of
heart. Thanks to David Strupl, Dafe Simonek, and Enno Sandner:
 <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=139886&listName=nbdev>

- Utility methods for properly escaping strings have been added to XMLUtil:

Other interesting discussions:

- They say competition is healthy, eclipse is another IDE platform on the
horizon.  Read more at
 <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=140493&listName=nbdev>
 <http://www.eclipsecorner.org>

- Michael Ruflin published a document on how to getting started with NetBeans.
It led to a very interesting discussion including one on some of the different
roles for involvement.
 <http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/ReadMsg?msgId=140163&listName=nbdiscuss>

- Is the Tools->Options menu a mess? Read the discussion at:
