Actually I yet know your "additional hints" plugin, it is installed on my NetBeans from many time :) .

I just finished my hint and it works perfectly, it is amazing what NetBeans allows you to do if you play a bit with its features!!!

Unfortunately the NetBeans refactoring module has not been yet completely fixed so I can not use "Inspect and Transform.." :( , in any case with the Source -> Inspect.. feature I can easily identify the changes that have to be done and apply them line by line.
