*Position Summary*

Newbury Networks is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and 
develop software features for Newbury’s enterprise software platform and 
applications in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Qualified candidates 
will contribute in all facets of the release cycle from requirements and 
design to implementation and testing.

*Duties/Responsibilities:*

    * Design, develop and test new features and improve the existing
      functionality of Newbury’s platform and applications
    * Create and maintain design documentation for new and enhanced
      functionality
    * Work with Quality Assurance to ensure proper test strategies and
      coverage
    * Work with Technical Publications to maintain consistency and
      accuracy between documentation and product features
    * Actively participate in all design and development reviews
      including product documentation


*Qualifications/Requirements:*

    * 4+ years of software development experience
    * Experience developing in Java and J2EE environment required
    * Strong knowledge of application servers and experience with
      relational databases
    * Jboss experience a plus
    * Netbeans and/or Eclipse RCP development required
    * UI design and development a plus
    * Strong Windows, Linux experience required
    * Experience with Java, database, and web-based development
    * Active team participant with strong technical leadership skills
    * Excellent verbal and written skills
    * Experience with 802.11, wireless networking and related tools a plus
