Great job Maxym! > Also it would be nice to see some interview with top-developer and > top-marketing guy at Sun about the plans on how NetBeans will catch-up > with Eclipse (if there're such plans): on functionality, on > popularity, on the number of plugins etc. It would be interesting to > see different approaches (developer: "we need to have cleaner APIs" > vs. marketing: "we need to publish one more book, and a good one"). I agree with Maxym, I have tinkered around with the idea to write a NetBeans module for a program that I am writing, but the fact that there currently is no good book, nor any good tutorial that is easily installable out there has made me not pursue it any further. So I would really want to see the developers put effort into making it a LOT easier to write modules from scratch. It might be easy for them, but for an outsider it currently is not. Also, an idea is to make it possible that at least a couple of the bugs or feature requests are assigned to any NetBeans developer (within Sun or not). Let the community be more involved! I for one would want to see Jesse do some tutorial as he seems to be quite a frequent poster on the mailinglist and helping out people as much as he can.
