Probably today evening or tomorrow morning I will prepare the patches announced earlier on this mailing list for review. I would ask anybody interested (Martin !) to review the proposed new API (http://mdr.netbeans.org/issues/showattachment.cgi?attach_id=6618) to discuss any objections. My current local sources contain one further feature, which I added for testing purposes. I currently do not need this feature, so I'm free either to submit the related patches or throw them away. The feature consists in allowing the user to replace the base handler classes (like AssociationHandler etc.) by alternative classes using system properties which name the replacing classes. I introduced this feature because I wanted to play with base handler classes. Although this feature is currently no very usable because it's not yet documented how the replacing classes should look like, its introduction could be nice insofar as it disciplines to strive for even greater modularity of MDR. As I said I'm free to include the related code to my patches or not. Certainly it's simpler for me to include it, because it is already there. Any comments ? -- Holger Krug [email protected]
