Re: Gosling on Oracle

His thoughts on JavaFX resonate with me very strongly.  Like him I make
data intensive desktop apps, one reason why I love the NetBeans Platform so
much.  I do not make web apps because the performance and customization
just isn't there.  I too am releasing boutique highly custom applications
and I am also  "looking over my shoulder" as he said.

But none of that means I will stop using Java/JavaFX/NetBeans as part of my
solution stack. They are the right tools for the job.  I would switch to
Unity before a web front-end.
