Re: Apache proposal for NetBeans

Yup. For many (many) years, a variety of community members have wanted 
more transparency and more say in the direction of NetBeans. Well, with 
Apache that's exactly what you get. But with that comes responsibility. 
We'll all co-own NetBeans and, yes, Oracle will be involved, I believe, 
for a long time, probably in one way or another for ever, though the 
community as a whole will need to step up now too.
