Re: Apache proposal for NetBeans

I dont have a lot of knowledge on these things, but i do have a few questions...

1. Does a program like Netcat have a place in the Apache world?

2. Will it still be "the" Java IDE released with the JDK releases?
(i.e. do we expect a Netbeans 9 being released with JDK 9, like it was
with JDK/Netbeans 8)

3. Do you envisage a move like this will bring more plugin development
to Netbeans (either from Vendors, or the community)? (In my opinion I
think it's where Netbeans is fallen behind when viewed together with
the other IDEs)
