The problem is that most users that report bugs seem to be running the official releases. Since the trunk is incompatible with NetBeans 3.5, these users can only run the (old) stable branch of NetBeans - they cannot try and give feedback on the new features. However, I don't mind dropping this support, it would save some merging effort. I just remember pressure to support 3.4 a while back when 3.5 was in beta. -- Tor
