To your other question - using CTI for translations enables easy dealing 
with Translation Memories (TM) and easy leverage. Also, if there are 
more people working on translations, TMs do not get lost or simply this 
process works better for us. However, there is e.g. the Galician team 
and they are using OmegaT (the tool which was used before CTI).
For Dutch, there are already many translations done in CTI so I would 
recommend to continue with this.
Our future plan is to have translations updated daily into mercurial so 
that you can see results within a day or so (Masaki can provide more 
info on this if necessary) - this would be done using CTI, so it is 
really better to continue using it.


And last, I think it is good to exchange all kinds of opinion on this 
mailing list, I do appreciate it and I really love that this mailing 
list is so alive now, thank you all for this! :-)
I think the quality will increase exactly thanks to such opinions and 
engagement, it does take time to gain experience translating and start 
using the standard terminology and be consistent.
Your big advantage (perhaps compared to professional translators) is 
that you are using the software and you know how it works and what term 
is the best, it just might take a bit of time to make the translations 
perfect. I really admire Marlen and the whole Dutch team for all their 
efforts! :-)  ...I was talking with a colleague in Sun how to attract 
more Czech contributors (it seems that the Czech community is completely 
silent now), but he just gave up saying "...no use... all Czechs who use 
NB can speak English, it would be just confusing to have it in Czech and 
too time-consuming to translate... " etc. But I told him.. hey, there is 
the Dutch community and all the users can speak perfect English, but 
still, they have one of the highest number of translations and are one 
of the most active on the mailing list, unbelievable! So really, just 
amazing! :-)

...About correct computer terminology, some standard glossary might help 
and stylistic manuals..

guides (no for Dutch, but in general there might be some useful reading...):
