can we have 'stacked tabs' in 3.6?

Advanced apologies if this is a FAQ, but I couldn't find the relevant thread
at netbeans.org...

I've looked through the various src editor options in the 3.6rc1 candidate
and can't find any way to allow stacked tabs a la 3.5x. I know there were
alot of discussions surrounding the "new and improved" tab design with
the left-right arrows and src-file drop-down (I remember there were a
number of people, including myself, that voiced the opinion that the new
way was too restrictive), but I can't recall what the eventual outcome
of the discussion was. Judging from what I see, stacked tabs are gone?

I've tried to live with the new design, but find the new way cumbersome - it
takes at least two clicks to get to a previously visited file (either by
clicking on the tiny file-drop down and selecting the file _or_ - if your
file happens to be visible in the explorer window - double-clicking on it
there.) Two-clicks vs. one click may not seem like a big deal, but it
can get quite annoying when you jump around alot.

Any suggestions? Maybe I just missed the option to turn stacked tabs back
on?

many thnx,
tom
