Well, I just installed a Q build of NB4, and for some reason the scanning
seems to have entered an infinite loop. So I guess I just have to either
drop using NB4, or reinstall everything. Even if I kill the process, there
is no way for me to fix this by restarting NB and fixing whatever is
causing this, (looped directory link, wrong configuration or whatever).

It is an insult to the user to start a process that cannot be
stopped.
