Sreen Menu Bar integration on the Mac

Any news about the integration?
I see that it will go up into the screen menu bar, but the not all the 
menus don't get activated.  I've done some tests and see the the menus 
in java apps don't get the visible/invisible events.  Has this changed 
in Tiger (JDK1.5)? I'm running:

java version "1.4.2_05"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2_05-141.4)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2-38, mixed mode)
