NB5.5 under GTK

I am trying to make the switch from Eclipse to Netbeans 5.5. I use Linux
(FC5) with Gnome and the Java 6 beta.

The default LAF looks pretty bad on my desktop, so I switched to the GTK
LAF. Basically, it works, but I have a few suggestions.

1) Stay away from shocking blue (such as in the Welcome screen). It clashes
horribly with "muted browns" color schemes. 

2) Don't shade tabs. Just use the theme defaults. For example, if you have a
multi-tabbed output, its tabs look normal, and they clash with the shaded
tabs in the code pane.

3) Do something about the file dialog. The native GTK dialog has a nice
autocompletion feature. Your dialog forces me to click, click, click, click,
click, click, click, click, when I'd rather type. If you won't use the
native dialog, at least use JFileChooser and hope the Swing team will get
their act together. 

4) How about an option to set the LAF in the options menu?
