Hello Stefan, what areas exactly did you find NetBeans 5.0 less stable than 4.1 ? It's true that no update of 5.0 was published except the Matisse Update Pack which is available via NetBeans 5.0 AUC Beta. More info: http://form.netbeans.org/roadmap.html#JavaOne_2006 To be honest producing dot-dot releases is practice used very rarely. Do you remember 3.4.1 release (http://www.netbeans.org/community/releases/34/1/README.html)? It was purely community effort organized by one of NetBeans contibutors Maxym Mykhalchuk. Would you volunteer to coordinate similar thing? I am sure couple of more guys would join you. If not, I suggest you wait for NetBeans 5.5 Beta 2 coming next week that will have 300+ <=5.0 bugs fixed. See here: http://www.netbeans.org/issues/buglist.cgi?Submit+query=Submit+query&issue_type=DEFECT&issue_status=RESOLVED&issue_status=VERIFIED&issue_status=CLOSED&resolution=FIXED&version=3.1&version=3.2&version=3.2.1&version=3.3&version=3.3+dev&version=3.3.1&version=3.3.1+dev&version=3.3.2&version=3.4&version=3.4+dev&version=3.4.1&version=3.5&version=3.5.1&version=3.6&version=4.0&version=4.1&version=5.0&version=5.0u1&version=5.0u2&target_milestone=5.5 Hope this helps a bit, -Jirka Stefan Wachter wrote: > Hi all, > > a long time ago I installed the January 2006 release of NetBeans 5.0. > After some trials I found the IE too buggy to use (under Linux) and > switched back to NetBeans 4.1.
