Are there updates for NetBeans 5.0?

Hi all,

a long time ago I installed the January 2006 release of NetBeans 5.0. 
After some trials I found the IE too buggy to use (under Linux) and 
switched back to NetBeans 4.1. Now, about half a year later, I wanted to 
give NetBeans 5.0 a second chance, but did not find a maintainance 
release of NetBeans 5.0 and also the Update center does not show 
anything of interest.

Is it true that none of the several thousand issues with NetBeans 5.0 
has been fixed and is available in a new release?
