Popup Window

Hi ,
       We are using Netbeans API for our UI part.
       
       Basically its a tree structure model. if i need to add a new node in
this structure.i need create a new node.
       First Popup window will come and asks us to rename the node.
      The problem is ---> Popup window is not coming up, by default its
creating the node with the default name.
      which part Netbeans API do we use to create a Popup window.

      Can any one please help me  in this regard.
