The server is in California.

While we've had performance issues in the past, that was a
long time ago and I have not noticed any problems recently.
Things are pretty responsive for me right now ...

Perhaps you could try some traceroutes etc from your location ?

traceroute www.netbeans.org

from a unix command line, or

tracert www.netbeans.org

from WinXP/2K/ ...

Pls copy and paste the results in a mail to me.  That might
show if there are any specific network bottlenecks or problems.

What kind of attention do you suggest??! :-)  This is an
unmoderated forum, intentionally so, so that msgs - like
yours - from anyone, can get through.  Of course some server
side spam-filtering would help, and there are issues filed
against SourceCast (the app that hosts nb.org) requesting
that :

Pls add votes or comments there, we can try to bump up
the priority - there isn't even a timeframe set for that
issue yet :-/
