Issue with ASM and WAS 6.1

Hello,

  So I have been fighting with IBM WAS 6.1 and ASM for a while now, but it
seems I am unable to get parameter level annotations working properly in IBM
WAS 6.1.  When I try to deploy an application with a an EJB method that has a
parameter annotation, I get the following error.

  My first thought was that I was somehow implementing my annotations
incorrectly, and so I tried replacing my custom annotation with a JRE parameter
annotation (I used @deprecated).   I still received the same results.  Removing
the parameter annotations allows the application to deploy properly.  It seems
that there is something happening in the ASM library when it is doing some sort
of method decorating.  The version of ASM that IBM WAS 6.1 is using is 3.1, but
the most recent version is 3.2, and so it doesn’t seem like this should be an
issue.	What concerns me is that the library has code for handling parameter
annotations, but using even built-in annotations is broken.  I find it hard to
believe that no one else has had this problem, but after googling for
“parameter annotations” and a combination of IBM, websphere, 6.1, EJB, WAS,
ASM  provided no results that were similar to my problem.  So now I am at a
loss, and was hoping that someone with more experience could provide some
insight.
