On Sun JVM 1.6.0_22-b04 (Gentoo Linux), your code gives 4 "passes", but after recompiling I1I2 without implementing I2, it gives 4 "fails". So perhaps the Sun verifier behavior that Rémi mentioned implements your suggestion no. 1 (treating interfaces as Objects)? Best regards, Michael
