WTF !
A release is a release (as you can guess by it's name),
so bug will be fixed, etc.

Eric,
I'm not against changing the shape of ASM in a future release,
and introducing something to provide more backward compatibility is not 
a bad idea.
But please, we have time to implement this change, I don't understand 
why you want
to release ASM 5 in a hurry without extensively test and gather users data
for something which is a major change in the design of ASM.

Also Java 8 will come with modules and other extensions,
we will have to support them so it will be a good exercise to test and 
validate
the new design to try to implement them in a backward compatible way.

We have time, let's use it !
