It appears FindBugs is based directly off ASM 3.x, rather than a repackaged copy thereof. I'm not sure how many other populare libraries this holds true for. Now when pondering the move to ASM 4.0 for my own ASM usages I'm concerned that such a move will break our usage of other ASM-based libraries -- at least unless we're quite lucky/careful with classpaths. I'm also concerned that building with Java 7 (and targeting Java 7 byte code) will produce code that FindBugs cannot handle. Does anyone else have such concerns? -- Jess Holle
