OSUser and Hibernate: couple of questions

I finally got OSUser working icw hibernate, however now I have some
questions regarding usage:

- Why can you only retrieve users and groups by groupname, not by id?
- Why can you only specify a username when adding a user with the
UserManager, ie: why not have a User-object as parameter? Or the password
and email-address as additional paramaters? Now a user is created with
password and email-address as NULL....
- How can you specify additional information needed for a user? ie:
firstname, lastname, location, occupation etc.. etc.. Is that possible
with osuser?
