CacheEntryEventTypes and PersistenceListener

Can you explain how do I support CacheEntryEventType "ENTRY_ADDED" in my PersistenceListener? Currently while I can implement "retrive(key)" with in "store(key, obj)" method to check for either "create" or "update" in the persist store, this needs an additional read from the persist store.
