To be honest, I don't have a clue .. I suppose a different version of those libs (older, newer) will not be compatible ? As for the encoding: well, I once had a problem with an xwork.xml file I accidently corrupted by using notepad (hey, I had to quickly edit something remotely, don't shoot), which caused lines to disappear later and reappear on other lines, loose characters, but only after editting - the file looked completely normal .. (really weird).
