JMS in applet

Does anyone have a working example of connecting to a jms server (with a
QueueRequestor) via an applet using RMI?  Our jms server is not on the
same machine as the application server.  Can we still use RMI by
modifying the java.policy or any other security files?  We are using
openjms 0.7.6.1.
