Books, Guides & References for Algorithms & Techniques.

Hi All,

I have just started on Robocode and I program during my free time. However, 
I am really set to become the topper in the battle.
I want to approach my bot programming in a structured way, for which i 
usually start with a book. 
I have gone through the Robocode wiki and other related sources, however i 
don't find them very detailed and comprehensive.

Can any one please suggest me books or guides or even topics that i can 
research myself and program the bot.
