Right yes! I didn't read this properly, my apologises.

As i hinted at before i think this is a wrong practice, i do not believe
a release branch is ever set-in-concrete finished. A release branch
should not be removed any commitor in the project can backport critical
fixes if they want to, even years after the release theoretically.
