where was the discussion and consensus to jump from 0.21 to 1.0.22 ?

i am not strongly opposed to the actual change, but it would have been
nice to have seen these discussions first on the dev mailing list rather
than getting the impression that they had occurred first inside memoComp
and the dev list was just a notification post-mortem.

The active community is now very small and this does entitles memoComp a
lot of room to move things forward, but driving decisions primarily
through through the dev list is imho an important requirement for any
open sourced project.
