I'm sorry for the late intervention but all this went over my head way
too quickly. This is not the normal process for granting commit rights
to any new community member.

  You need to post a formal vote to the committers list (or to the dev
list). The committers list is both mine and Hussayn's preference and
it's important that objections remain private. We also need to see a
track record of contributions, both patches and posts on the lists.
Last, it is improper for someone to request themselves for commit
rights.

Because none of these steps were taking i've revoked Frank's roles.
Frank does have a lot of solid contributions and i've read through
enough to be more than positive to voting +1 for him becoming a
committer under the proper process.

For this reason once we cut through the red-tape, ie Frank has been
formally voted in as a committer it is important that he creates a user
that identifies himself properly.

Speaking personally i'm incredibly happy to see both Johannes and Frank
reviving this community and its product, i hope that this revival builds
upon the existing open source culture established.
