Activity report on *Enhancement SCB1439 - AttributeGroup viewing permissions* Scarab Link: http://www.solitone.org/scarab/issues/id/SCB1439 Module: Scarab Activity generated by Jorge Uriarte ([email protected]) at 05/09/2008 10:25 *Comments* - By Jorge Uriarte - 05/09/2008 10:25 --- "Mick; I was about to suggest creating a new branch and uptodating in there. Telepathy works, it seems :-) I don't really have too much authority (none, indeed) to say "do" or "do not"; just wanted to transmit my feelings about some technical weakness I *feel* (because I don't really remember the details) in that branch. You've got it up to date, you've seen the code. I trust you :-) That said... I don't feel comfortable with the idea of "someone has changed something you cannot see" communications. It invalidates some useful usecases of the feature, though I'll agree in that there are usecases in which it can be even useful. Querying the attributegroup permissions in the notificationmanager would be the theoretical solution, but I think we'll get performance problems in there. So... go ahead; I don't have time to commit this days, and it's indeed a powerful feature, deserving public exposure :-) Thanks! "
