    "Option value attributes can be defined with a hierarchy. Currently the hierarchy is
simply shown as indent in the drop down lists.
A new field type "treeview" would be great for special cases."

We have created another work in progress for hierarchical dropdown lists.
Currently the solution has been patched into the standard DropDown list.
I will create a separate Field type as soon as i understand how that can be 
done. Then we will have the "standard drop down lists" and the treeview
bvased ones. current state of development in svn r 10777
