figure out that the issue creator will get the ??? format email but the module owner or assignedTo or assignedCC persons will get the email with Chinese characters. I set the email encoding, default charset, and the charset on MySQL to Big5. The old email notification shows correct Chinese characters. The email notification are of garbage characters when the server runs on either RHEL4 or Windows server 2003. The configurations parameters are the same for the encoding and character sets. Is there any change in the email relevant files or settings between 0.20 and b21 ? No matter if I set scarab.email.encoding to UTF-8 or ISO-8859-2 - in the whole e-mail only "Subject" field is properly encoded in UTF-8. Is this a bug or something wrong with configuration?
