creating release from trunk

Hi,

can anybody point me out an How-To which is up to date for creating a 
clean scarab release directly from the trunk?

I found:

but I get "Goal scarab:sample does not exist exception" on "maven 
scarab:sample",
and "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" on "ant package" 
during  "[copy] Copying 14726 files to 
C:\_checkouts\Scarab\scarab-1.0-b21" in build directory.
