Regarding the idbroker... you can easily (I mean *easily*) change the torque
descriptor to use native sequences.
I was a happy Oracle8+Torque user back in... wow...am I so old?... 1999...

That' s for a mature solution stack!, now go improve that, Grails! ;-)
