AW: setting-up scarab 0.21 for oracle 10g

I have maven 2.0.9 installed and the scarab build is incompatible with maven2.
In Eclipse I have just installed the maven plugin - targeting maven2, too.
 
My tomcat is outside Eclipse and therefore I do not want the inbound-option.
Especially as I´m working with Java 1.5 and java 1.6 and tomcat 6 there should
not be an old tomcat 4.x around. So I prefer to deploy the compiled classes with
a batch script from exclipse to tomcat.
 
But I tried and got: unrecognized tag 'id' - maven was not able to build scarab.
With ant it is working fine.

did you try "maven war:inplace" and "maven eclipse"? (might be misspelled, just
out of my head...)
This should generate an inplace structure and a .project to allow Eclipse's
import with "Existing project in the filesystem"...

Yes, I found several hints in the mailing list archives and at the moment I´m at
the point where there is a problem in logging in to the database using scarab.
I will look into the issue and after solving the problem I will try to write a
small how-to for Oracle users if that is ok for you.
