hi,

Before trying to understand what MySQL-5.1 did with your database, I'd
rather try this:

1.) Try to setup 5.1 and recreate the Scarab-Database from your
database-dump
2.) If that does not work, then there might be an incompatibility with
Torque and you might need to update. You could us current trunk. I use
it since a year in a production environment and besides some
inconveniences it works for me.
3.) If nothing goes, revert to your previous settings.

If you do not have a database dump then you will need to debug the
application to find where Scarab doesn't like the data and hopefully you
can revert the MySQL-changes manually.
