Re: SISC 1.8.1-alpha Released

Due to the numerous non-bugfix changes, SISC 1.8.1 really should have 
been called SISC 1.9.0, but nevermind.

Note that the documentation for the new type system, object system, 
generic procedures and S2J has not yet been incorporated into the main 
documentation. Instead the documentation can be found in .txt files in 
the doc directory.

The old versions of the object system, type system and generic 
procedures are still available as the module old-generic-procedures. The 
old version of S2J is available as the module old-s2j. These modules 
will be *removed* in the next release, so please convert your existing 
code to use the new modules instead.

The aforementioned documentation files each have a section at the end 
that explains the significant changes to the previous version. This 
should help conversion. In most cases the conversion should be fairly 
straightforward. If anyone encounters any problems, or finds any bugs, 
please mail the list.
