Managing components deployed on several hosts

Hello,

I've been asked whether it would be possible to use the management
console to get information about applications deployed on several
hosts. Is such a thing possible ?

Also, I noticed that you can change the attributes of a
deployed/started component through the console. But most of our
components only lookup for their attribute values at deployment time.
So is there a notification mechanism that we could use instead, to
make our components aware of this possibility ?
