SAP JRA and IDOC

Hi there,

In our project , we are using SAP Resource Adapter (from SAP) to talk to an SAP instance(BAPI). Now one of business partner insisting us to send IDOC instead of invoking BAPI. Does SAP Resource Adapter supports IDOC?( I have the impression that SAPJRA does not support IDOC and outbound communication). How do I  send IDOC when I am using SAP Resource Adapter?.

Please shed some light on this...
