{This mail formally announces the acceptance of these Proposals
into the JDP process.}
The 'Porter Proposals 2' have been submitted to become full Standards
in the Jini Community. We are starting the "Debate" period on the
Proposals.

The Proposals (Bylaws I.J.) can be found at:
http://www.jini.org/nonav/standards/Proposals/Porter2/proposal.html

The Owner (Bylaws I.G.) of the Proposals is Sun Microsystems,
and the Shepherd (Bylaws I.M.) is Bob Scheifler.
The Approving Standards ( jini.org/jdp/v0.7/Ratification.html )
supporting document in the JDP outlines the required and
suggested constructs of Proposals, as well as the general
process for approving Standards in the Jini Community.
This mail officially announces the Proposals, and thus begins
the "Debate" period of the process. The Debate period, as
outlined in JDP Bylaws III.B., will run at least four weeks. This
is the time to give the Proposal submissions a good review and
engage in discussion regarding their merits.
