With the current "web home" (Jini.org) of the Jini Community
set to be de-commissioned on June 30, 2006... there has been
interest expressed in leveraging our domain to provide a new
web site, which could include:
   - descriptive information on Jini technology to curious or
     interested newcomers,
   - a list of commercial providers and users of the technology
     to make visible the commercial success
   - in-depth presentations (for example, from JCMs) for developers
     to learn more
   - pointers off to the various web sites which have open source
     implementations of the technology
   - etc

I think this has a lot of potential, and could significantly
impact the adoption of Jini technology.

There is much to collectively figure out here... and not much
time to do it. I'm pleased that Jeff Ramsdale (solutionsiq.com)
has interest and good ideas in this space, and will be helping
to lead the discussion. Jeff has been active on jini-users, as
well as presenting at the last (9th) Jini Community Meeting in
Chicago last October.

I believe we'll need both individual and commercial contributions
to help make this successful, so I hope you'll consider getting
involved.
