Hello,

I'm developing an application to trace the anonymous calls of college
hostel.

the project flow is:

telephone of the hostel will be connected to a computer.

computer stores a list of authorised phone numbers.

when a call arrives caller-id will be detected by the computer.

simultaneously the number will be checked with those in the database.

if the number matches with the same,telephone in the students room will be
connected to receive call.
Calls received from numbers other than those on the call acceptance list
will not be delivered.

I'm new to this JTAPI stuff. how can i connect telephone with computer other
than modem? i searched and found out that modem could not be used for this
project and some recommended tapi telephony card.

Now really looking for help or suggestions and if possible any good
solution from the Gurus of Java.

Hoping for an early and fruitfull response.
