Hi guys

I know some of you have been working on very similar problems in recent months:

How upon receiving an incoming call, make several outgoing calls at the same
time, and transfer the incoming call to the first outgoing call that has
been picked up. A number of solutions have come up, but the most elegant and
least error prone would be if you could make all the call handling one one
routepoint. Unfortunately, Cisco's JTAPI implementation, even though
returning true when querying the RouteTerminal if it can transfer and
conference calls, does not offer these features. Hence, we have to devise
more or less complex workarounds to get our applications to do what we'd
ideally only need a single routepoint and not too much JTAPI code for.

I have been talking to one of my contacts at Cisco and it appears we have a
chance that this will be implemented in future versions. What they lack
right now is a business case for this feature. So I've been asked for how
many customers such a feature (or rather, what applications we can build
with it) would be useful, and on how many terminals we see such an
application installed in the future.

Seeing as there are several people here who would also have a use for this
feature (and afaik all without developer support contracts so most likely
Cisco has never heard of your desire to have those features), it would be
great if you could chime in.. the more we are, the more likely this will be
implemented quickly. Obviously, I need to present a serious case so don't
make up numbers that you know will never come true.

I'd appreciate your feedback guys.

Thanks
Stephan
