Transfer feature is not yet supported on CTI Route Points. You can only
do redirect, accept, answer, hold and unhold on Route Point. Also #1 is
not supported. Both the calls have to the on the same address on the
terminal. #2 is supported on CTI Ports.

Pre conditions of transfer are:

1.      tc1.getCallControlState() ==
CallControlTerminalConnection.TALKING or
CallControlTerminalConnection.HELD

2.      tc2.getCallControlState() ==
CallControlTerminalConnection.TALKING or
CallControlTerminalConnection.HELD

Terminal connections are created when call is accepted. You need to
answer call1 and then initiate call2 on the same address to complete the
transfer.

Subject: [JTAPI] call1.transfer(call2) problem

Hello,

I'm trying to get the transfer working between call1 and call2. And
despite many different approaches it always throws one of two
exceptions.

1)       PlatformException com.cisco.jtapi.PlatformExceptionImpl:
Transfer controller is not set and could not find a suitable
TerminalConnection.

2)       pcy: PlatformException com.cisco.jtapi.PlatformExceptionImpl:
CCNException not handled: com.cisco.cti.client.CCNException:

#1 occurs when 8001 -> 5799 and call2 is 7799 -> 8000

#2 occurs when 8001 -> 5799 and call2 is 5799 -> 8000

The common terminal in this case is a CTI Route Point and it has 2
addresses (5799 and 7799).

There are no terminal connections being created between the phone
terminals and their connections. I don't know why and I don't know if
this is necessary for a transfer to occur. Originally these addresses
and terminals were out of service but I solved that by adding observers.

I've tried setting the transfer controllers with every possible terminal
connection and even tried casting them to CiscoTermialConnection. This
didn't work.

call1.setTransferController(tc);

call1.getTransferController(); // this returns the appropriate tc.

Making a transfer to an address ( i.e. call.transfer("8002") ) works,
but a call1.transfer(call2) does not.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Paul
