I have Siemens optiPoint 500 telephone and I need to check if the telephone
is currently used. If not I open a window with customer details on operators
machine including a button which enables her to start a call.

I have installed a TAPI provider and XTapi using MSTAPI. JSoftPhone is
working well. I expected to use javax.telephony.phone package to find state
of the handset but it seems that javax.telephony.phone package is not
implemented in XTapi.

Please could you write me how it is possible to find that an operator is
calling even if the call was not originated by JTapi? More specifically I
would like to find if the handset is on the hook or not.

Thanks a lot for any help,
Pavel
