Help with Cisco JTAPI

HI i'm a engineering student and right now i'm working on my final year
project the main subject is about CTI computer telephony integration, i'm
new on JTAPI so i faced some difficulties so what i'm loookin for is how
to get the caller ID from an externel network like PSTN in order to use
this phone number for other applicative, i will be pleased if someone can
give a hand to resolve my prob so thanks for looking after me
