I'm just putting your sample code on my as/400 now.  Hopefully a

My current implementation should handle this.  Truth is, x5250 simply
ignores the create window command except for the size.  It uses it's own
borders.  In the future I plan to make the windows be popup windows,
manageable by the window manager.

I'd be glad to work together.  I'm interested in getting full support for
all of 5250.  The userbase of x5250 is so small that no one is clamoring
for features.  But I've got to get the data stream handling correct before
I can commit anything to tn5250's cvs tree.
